There are two types of nuclear reactors that we use in the United States. We use the presurized water reactor (PWR), and the boiling water reactor (BWR). In both of these plants, the steam that they produce is used again when it turns into water. However in a presurized water reactor, the water under pressure will never boil, it will only heat up. The water from the reactor and the water that turns into steam both go into seperate pipes and never mix. While in a boiling water reactor water does boil. The water that is heated during fission boils and is turned into steam that turns the generator.
